X Large Workwear Apron

X Large Workwear Apron

Regular price $ 92.00 Sale

This is an extra large apron I originally made for Chef Howard of 13 Gypsies in Jacksonville. It's extra large and most certainly in charge. Suitable for both men and women, this is the same apron as the workwear I have listed in my shop, just sized up. If you'd prefer this apron made with straps that don't cross in the back, but instead behind the neck style, please just leave me a note at checkout.
Two hip pockets + a chest pocket
12 inches across the chest
34 inches tall x 40 inches wide
Cross-back ties (can be made behind neck instead, just ask)

Why Linen?
The Belgian Linen I use is a beautiful, strong, and long lasting fabric that gets even better with age. It is untreated, grown and produced in Europe, and dyed in the United States following strict environmental standards. Linen is naturally eco-friendly, sustainable, and significantly better for the environment than conventional cotton, yet it is two to three times stronger. Made from the flax plant, a crop that requires very little pest-controlling chemicals, linen is the oldest natural textile fiber.

Why Hemp?
The hemp I use is organic, and sustainably grown and harvested. It is manufactured following strict fair trade practices; employees are well trained, safe, paid fairly, and are provided health insurance, sick and maternity leave benefits. No child labor is used. The dyes used are low impact, fiber reactive dyes. These dyes are nontoxic, safe, eco friendly, and require only low temperature water processing. Hemp grows extremely fast in any kind of climate. It does not exhaust the soil, uses little water, and requires no pesticides or herbicides. It’s considered one of the most versatile, sustainable and strongest plants on earth, and only gets better and softer with age.
