    Practical and Beautiful

This style of apron is so versatile and beautiful. I love linen and the quality of this apron is perfect. Not too heavy / a mid weight that keeps you relatively cool. I chose the red which is cheerful and practical.

    I love my apron!

I love my apron. I’ve been using it for over a year now for my floral arranging fun. Each time I put it on, I feel like I’m about to have a lot of fun. It’s made so well, hangs easily, and the saturated rust color is beautiful.

More thoughtless gifts from the patriarchy

When I gave it to her my girlfriend asked if that was the frock she would wear before she gets adopted by a rich family. She calls it the dress she would wear to the one-room school house. She relentlessly mocked me about getting her this “symbol of servitude.” The apron was really nice and I like it a lot. Hopefully I can convince her that it looks great and is useful and elegant for a modern person.

    My all-time favorite apron!

I love my apron! I shopped around - I saw the ones at half the price, sewn by people working like machines all day in China. What do you think they've been paid for their work? I've even purchased items that way. Then they get here and the fabric is flimsy and the returns are difficult and expensive and take forever, if you even can return it. Now I am more careful about the world I invest in. I'd been following Portland Apron Co. on Instagram for some time so I decided to check them out and I ordered an apron. It came in a timely manner, simply and nicely wrapped in brown paper. I absolutely LOVE that the fabric is locally sourced. I love that it's a mom/daughter company that makes the fabric (who knew?). I love that the fabric is hemp and linen. I love the color (I got the olive one, but I have the feeling I might like any of them). And I especially love that my apron was made by an individual working hard to make a living in a fair, honest, and conscientious way. I value that. So that's where I put my money. I put it in the world I want to live in. The apron is a great value. The craftsmanship is meticulous. The style is functional, fashionable, comfortable. I feel like this is an apron I can live in. It's a good length and I love that there are no ties, it fits comfortably over whatever I'm wearing, and it wraps around the back. I love the big pockets and the substantial fabric. Not heavy and hot but not so flimsy I worry my messes will bleed through. This is the best apron I ever owned.
